When using the BulkImport module, you often need to change the "Identifier to use for linked resources or update" setting shown below.
By default only "Internal id" is selected, but as in the image above, you typically add a field that holds the identifier used in your project, such as dcterms:identifier.
Adding this every time is tedious and prone to human error.
The module provides a way to customize this default on a per-project basis.
Specifically, as shown below, you can configure each importer (CSV, ODS, etc.) by clicking its "Configure" link.
For example, if you add dcterms:identifier to "Identifier to use for linked resources or update" as a default for the item processor, that state will be applied as the default from then on.
